The Most Effective Way to Fix Your Running Muscle Weaknesses and Imbalances
Seems bizarre to give such lengthy explanations as to why an exercises is useless. Would be great to see a simple top 5 or best exercises for runners, checked the channel and came across more videos about what not to do, as opposed to what to do.
💯 Thanks, Coach Andie.
why blur the background? There is nothing to hide
Can running on toes help reduce shin pain? Can you cover that in your next content?

cute coach
I hiked before a marathon - voila, cramps in the last half
Damn, i hope i dont have to rest that long.
Great information! As a relative newbie to running, I'm doing all the different types of runs over a 14 day cycle now and am seeing steady progress. This info ties in beautifully with what I am experiencing, with each type of run progressing at slightly different rates, with the LISS improving at the slowest rate!
Can't help running before race day never got a proper taper also afraid tapering will activate different recovery pathways that in short term reduce performance.
Just found this. I was trying to figure out why after my 8x800 vo2 workout I was feeling out of gas. Makes sense now, about a week later things are getting back to normal. Thanks. First time i've heard a breakdown like this.
Thank you 🙏
Wow..this is probably the smartest video I have watched on the subject, and I watched many. Thank you:-)
Avoid shoes with an aggressive tow-to-heel drop? Isn't an aggressive drop putting less strain on the calf muscle? I am suffering from a recurring calf strain, looking into changing my shoes. I am doing most of my running with a pair of NBs with a 6mm drop, was thinking of trying a 10-12mm drop. But this is a bad idea, you are saying?
I also thought that comment was not quite right. Zero drop shoes will tear a runners calves to shreds if they don't wean into them very slowly. High drop shoes are not natural but in the interim recovery period will put far less strain on the calves.

Very helpful 😊
AG1 is bullshit. Their "proprietary" blend is nothing special.

Does deadlift train hip extension?
The back of my work boots are wore down super bad on the outer side but only in the back heel. So my left boot looking at it from the back the left or outer side heel is wore down and the right boot the right or outer side is wore down and I mean the inside is a inch thicker than the outside so would that be overpronation or Supination ? Also with the corrective inserts would I want the thicker part on the thicker side or the thinner side ?
Exactly ...Muchas Gracias .. Thanks .. Arigato , Merci ...Etc .....
quite insightful info shared by pretty presenter
What if I’m dealing with insertional Achilles pain during dorsiflexion but also have a calf strain. What’s the protocol for such injury ?
Great information. I needed to hear this. Thank you.
Good video 🌹🌹🌹
I often have muscle cramps while swimming. Is it okay to just keep going? I feel the pain but I can go through it 'cause I have very low pain rate (idk how it's called). I stop when it's really bad but for the most part I can go through it.
I ran a 38 minute 10k race , all from training on a treadmill
I’ve got my from a fracture and the bone heal with a callous obstructing the groove so the tendon is always popping over 😢help!
FYI, it's pronounced "ga-stroK-ne-me-us" (it's a hard "c")
🤔. My nose passage is too narrow. I find mouth breathing more efficient.
For the issues you highlighted, how do you work on them? It seems like the skips, or the hill reps might just cement them further? Does one need to "focus" on technique, or are certain drills good for certain issues?
Wow, thank you so much! Been suffering for months and after your video, have been doing exercises before getting out of bed and it’s been a game changer! Thank you so much!!
Is this dysfunction as related to running or female pelvic issues?
I can't breathe in thru the nose and havent been able to since i was 6. Ao i have only been able to breathe in thru the mouth and barely out thru the nose. And when my allergies kick in the nose is fully unusuable
you should see an ent, mouth breathing is bad for ur teeth
@@omilkhouseo oh well XD.
Has this guy ever run ? It’s impossible to run only through the nose pass some moderate pace
I have watched sooo many videos on this topic! You really made the concept easy to understand and provided a lot of stretches , resistance training , etc. I found this extremely helpful thank you !

Track is better for track and roads for XC because you get variation.
As a long distance hiker, I am prone to ITB syndrome. It's caused my by poor training in the off season. These exercises are firing up my glutes and hips so im going to incorporate them into my mobility routine
